EUROSION NETWORK
The EUROSION Soil Erosion Monitoring Network has been set up to provide a long-term collaborative infrastructure linking organisations and individuals involved in soil erosion monitoring across Europe and associated countries.

The form will be available soon. Thank you for your patience.
Our network intended to include monitoring agencies, researchers, policymakers, agricultural organisations, land managers, Living Labs and other relevant initiatives across local, regional, national and European levels.
Our purpose is to:
- Improve coordination between existing monitoring activities
- Support the uptake of harmonised monitoring methods
- Enable exchange of data and expertise
- Help make soil erosion information more comparable and usable across countries.
Network members will also help shape how the network operates, including its governance, data management, engagement and longer-term financial sustainability, with the intention that it becomes a self-sustaining European monitoring community beyond the lifetime of EUROSION.
The network will be closely connected to the EUROSION Dynamic Soil Erosion Monitoring Platform, which will provide the digital infrastructure through which much of this information can be accessed, explored and used. The platform is envisaged as an open-access repository for historical and newly collected erosion data, a route into web-based modelling tools, and a collaborative analytical environment incorporating an interactive dashboard. Through the dashboard, users will be able to explore soil erosion status and change at different spatial and temporal scales, interrogate regional, national and European patterns, examine erosion hotspots and explore the implications of different land-management practices or modelled scenarios. Dynamic maps will move beyond existing static representations by showing how water, wind, tillage and crop-harvesting erosion vary through space and time.
The EUROSION network provides the people, relationships and shared monitoring community. Meanwhile, our integrated platform and dashboard will provide the shared digital environment for data, analysis and visualisation, creating the basis for more coordinated monitoring and better-informed land management and policy decisions.
