Involved in the project is the Department of Environmental Sciences, chair group Soil Physics & Land Management (SLM) acting as coordinator.

Role :

WU is the coordinator of EUROSION and participates in different Work Packages. WU will research wind and water erosion processes in 2 Monitoring Nodes in the Netherlands.
WU is leading WP7 - Project coordination and ethics and tasks T7.2 - Day-to-day management and T7.3 - Ethic requirement, risk management and quality assurance.

Mahrooz Rezaei is an Associate Professor at Wageningen University, working at both Soil Physics and Land Management chair group and Meteorology and Air Quality chair group. She is the project coordinator of the EUROSION project, responsible for overall project coordination as well as supervising the wind erosion team in the EUROSION Monitoring Node.

Jantiene Baartman is an Associate Professor at the Soil Physics and Land Management chair group of Wageningen University. She is the project coordinator of the EUROSION project, responsible for overall project coordination as well as supervising the water erosion team in the EUROSION Monitoring Node.

As Project Manager for the EUROSION project, Vera is taking day-to-day project management activities, supporting effective coordination and alignment with project objectives. Tasks include, among others, monitoring of progress against milestones and deliverables, facilitation of meetings/discussion forums, and reporting activities to the European Commission.

Coen Ritsema is an Emeritus Professor and former chair of the Soil Physics and Land Management chair group at Wageningen University. With his extensive experience in coordinating more than 20 EU-funded projects, he serves as project advisor of EUROSION providing strategic and scientific advice.
